Re: How to fight against the Stealth Tank?

If they go for your harvesters, try to block them with multiple missile squads. If enemy uses multiple stanks, spread your missile squads around a bit. Marauders and grenadiers hard counter them as long as stanks don‘t run away.

As GDI, try to get a hit on stanks with a predator when they decloak. But forget about chasing them - they are too fast. With some micro a stank dies in 2 hits.

As Nod, try to follow a stank with a scorpion to get additional hits off when they decloak and flee. Boosting the scorpion is also good - but do NOT boost before the stank has shot at it or the scorpion will explode.

You can try to force the stanks to shoot infantry by moving them closer. If you are lucky, enemy won‘t pay attention and fire. Now is your time to follow them with some quick units.

The strategy that works for me very well is abusing missile pads. If a stank enters a launch pad it will always decloak. So I set up orcas in such a way that the stank must cross the launchpad to fire at the orca. It decloaks, orca has defender advantage, shoots first, and destroys the stank without taking damage.

You can also leave orcas in the open field. If a stank attacks and orca is not moving, orca will have a bit of time to shoot its missiles too, potentially destroying it. Both die, but you spend 20 less. But be carefull: the orca needs time to rotate, so position them to look into the direction the stank will most likely come from.

Btw since I use stanks I guess I‘m an aśšhole a clever player. You hurt my feelings ☹️ Thanks for the compliment! 🙂

It’s super tough. I’ll admit. Because only Infanty can really kill it without dying... and Infantry is too slow to kill it before it drives up, drops it’s missiles and rides off. Then here come the Chem Buggy to ride by and spray your Infantry. Giving the ST enough time reload and come back in to drop another load.

Stealth Tanks are seriously tough to defend in the right deck.

There is never a stealth tank that does not run away, since they are effing cowards. 😉

Not sure how that could work? A Stealth Tank has the speed category "Fastest", while a Scorpion tank only has "Average" speed. I really think that a tank - any tank - should never have "Fastest" speed. After all, a tank is a heavy vehicle. It does not make sense for it to excel at speed.

That sounds like seriously good advice. Many thanks, I will definitely try this out. 🙂

Tanks are good counter to them. Orca can threaten them, maybe, if you have better micro than your opponent.

Stank suppresses most undertechs - all aircraft and light vehicles - but If you got chance to roll out tech, they shouldn’t be a problem.

😉 is stank the unit oneshots MOST units in the game?

I always lose my tick tanks to these units. Sure would want to use them when I unlock them. Could pair well with tick tanks to sheild it from air attacks. I could try playing with no scout, but my army could be vulnerable to scarabs and MG nests. I thought of flame trooper, laser squad, mutant marauder, buggy, tick tank and stealth tank or phantom. I jut need a strong anti-air unit. Which fares better as an anti-vehicle, stealth tank or mutant marauder? The tick tank is just there to hold the pads and prevent it from falling to the wrong hands.
