If you're using Windows 10, then I'm guessing your problem is setting your game to run in 16bit color, which isn't explained in that link. If so, you must open your RA2/YR folder, find game.exe and gamemd.exe and do the following for each file:
Right-click -> Properties -> Compatibility. -> Select 'Reduced Color Mode'option and choose 16-bit. You must do this for every game / program.

No. The game runs on the full screen.
I have Windows 10 and i tried changing the color settings to 16-bit and I cannot... Help??
Just bought this and cant use it cuz I cant run in windowed mode. Anyone got a fix?
Make sure you select the icon, what you did is opened the properties for the Red Alert 2 folder. I've done it many times, left click the item that you want to open the properties for, and then right click.
