Red alert 2 black screen with sound and mouse

The old trick in the book is basically that they do background changes when the game goes out of date and that causes the issues that we have I've seen that a lot and I've seen it game gives word judgment on the 360 actually received an update but it wasn't  real update a background update they fixed the problem The thing is a lot of companies are not willing to do that a lot of companies have just left the game rot until it's just unusable and software rots a real thing every program   game and software everything goes through that at some point and then it comes comes into issues I didn't think this supposed to get so much activity but but yeah background update would fix all the issues we're having but they're not gonna address them honestly if they're not gonna fix it they should refund us or make a new Gen. versione we have I mean I've been trying to play play red alert 2 yuri's revenge to relive my childhood but it's nearly impossible with all the issues that it has I'm hoping one day they can start fixing their games cause honestly game shouldn't die the way they do I mean they served them a long time command and conquer has been around for a long time they don't even make games for it anymore what's a good game to play but honestly at the end of the day they could just do a background update and address our issues other companies have done it  like Gears of War is a prime example they're they're Gears of War judgment for the 360 like all the DLC's broke on the DLC playlist after a month or so after the issue arised I believe  done by then  they had it addressed in a background update and that game doesn't receive title updates all in the background and it was  working like brand new any company can do a background update and company it can cause issues to

Hello!! it's december 27 and still playing the game. I used the solution given and it works on windows 10.

In my case I had to give the the administrator permissions to edit aqrit.cfg. Be sure to check twice if the archive had been modified. It should be just like this

Quick post on what worked for me...at least for my RX 6600.

Went to play some RA2, played fine a few weeks ago, now this black screen issue, none of the fixes here worked for me.

Opened AMD Adrenaline Software, found the game, and basically disabled everything for it. Black screen problem gone.

No idea if it will help anyone else, but figured I would add to the  mix.
