Red Alert 2 Not Installing

I recently bought The Unltimate collection and downloaded Red Aleart 2 and Yuri's Revenge. I was having major issue with the game. It wouldn't open half the time (I had to either restart my computer or manaully turn off all the services it was previously running, which is ridicoulus) and whenever I tried to enter a skirmish the game would freeze while I was changing the settings. I tried unistalling in and re installing it. It downloaded fine but will not install. It starts the process then a couple minutes later it just stops. It has not installed anything for me to even remove again. I have Windows 7

There are a few other things you can do to help RA2 to run better:
Tweaking certain compatibility modes can help a lot
Make sure to disable Origin In Game overlay in the Origin settings for the game
Install Bibber's fixed game launchers
Some people have reported this tutorial fixing issues with the menus not appearing

I found the Command and Conquer folder and deleted it all. It allowed me to reinstall but I am still experiencing the original issues; not always opening and it freezing and crashing when I try to play a skirmish

Awesome, thanks. Disabling the overlay fixed the problem. I had to manually stop a service that was still running from the alst time I had it open in order to uncheck the box but it works now.
