Scarab nerf, really?

Because it was too good to rush harvesters....

Are you actually taking the *?

This is ABSOLUTELY the worst unit for the task, yet you think that since many noobs complain, they must be right?

This unit has become even more of a joke, as of right now even 30 tib anti infantry units will cost efficiently trade with them. Congrats.

P.s. I like many changes in the patch (except for the building damage nerf for the flame tank....), but this one is just pandering to the cry babies for heaven's sake...

  • If you know how to counter them, they are so easily defeated that 13lade (a top player) just says "I see scarabs, that means that's a free win."

If you don't know how to counter them, they are a nightmare to deal with, because nothing seems to effectively stop them, although all you need is 1-2 10 tib units. I guess soooooo many low league players complained that scarabs just got nerfed XD

Personally, when I read the patchnotes and saw scarabs in there and saw that it's a nerf, I laughed so hard XD

  • Totally agree, don't think that nerf was necessary at all- scarabs were barely usable situationally before, now its less and less useful taking up a valuable slot in your deck.

Must be from low leagues (where yes, it did seem super tough to get through until you figure out how to deal with them, at which point its super easy)

  • There really should be a tutorial in the game that explains to the newbies how to deal with Scarabs. Then we wouldn't need this silly cost increase.

Not always. Some people do use them cleverly. Like for holding the missile pad which is the furthest away from your base, so you cannot "clean" that one easily with cheap 10 Tiberium units.

At first this was just not winnable if the opponent had scarabs. With GDI the disrupters work well but need time to build up, till then a pair of scarabs can take out almost any unit and with the early units it takes only one.

These should be be provided as units from the advanced labs instead. It takes time to learn its weakness and what tactics work against it. By then the game levels change and all of that goes for a toss.

    I like Ike your suggestion.
