I think all the setting are great for this event. Just enjoy playing whatever you want like there is no reward and no cost.
It costs only 100 credit (150-50 rebate) to re-try, even if you cannot win much, at least you gain 50 credit each game you play as usual, so basically there is no loss. You can pay for better reward at the end and the reward is greater than what the diamond can buy.
Another good point is it has a low level cap, so you can try different combination without spending a lot to train the units.
