The FTC is preparing to bring the hammer down

Today the Federal Trade Commission announced an investigation into the video game industry. Two things Ive always been against are in their crosshairs. The FTC is going to abolish loot crates and microtransactions. I couldn't be happier. The consumer complaints continue to roll in over these issues. Meanwhile, Belgium is still working diligently on its criminal investigation into EA practices. Claiming loot crates especially constitute illegal gambling.

This will be the proverbial shot heard around the world. One of my college degrees is very difficult to obtain. Suffice it to say I know enough about the risk/reward systems of the brain. To keep it simple, it comes down to exploitation of this system. Microtransactions and loot crates should never have been allowed in the first place. I have not sat by in silence as the video game industry destroys gaming. I have been in contact with legislature on multiple levels. Take a stand against illegal practices today and everyday. Want to improve gaming? Stop purchasing anything with these systems in place. Do not buy another thing. If you have, call your credit card company and demand a chargeback.
