In TiberiAn Sun you actually had multiple buildings, here you just have this one. If it dies, you loose. And a disruptor destroys it with 4-7 hits (depending on levels). If it is boosted, this will take about 20 sec on average. Just too quick. And from a 2 tile range.
Why are we even comparing gameplay elements from different games? It makes 0 sense. Similarities between units from C&C games and Rivals should (actually must!) exists, but they shouldn‘t be absolutely identical. And most aren‘t completely the same. For example, I can‘t remember that zones could shoot at air in C&C 3.

Do the C&C games have ambient animals that are deadly, like in Dune 2 where the Sand Worms would eat your units if you left them on the sand-tiles. I played C&C, Red Alert/2 and tried C&C 3 but I had already moved on from the genre by that time.
