Why are 99.99% of the games I play are challenge battles?

Hey @Yakk420 thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you've been super successful and climbed the ladder really quickly. This can result in you reaching a higher league than others with the same level units as you, leaving you with only matching against players that trigger challenge battles. You're best best is to keep that skill you have up and take wins when you can to continually climb, be sure to do your bounties daily and level up units. same here I’m always up against higher level players rarely my own level . Game will not last of this continues  I will say I sometimes win but mostly loose I’m level 18 and most players I see are 26 plus not fairly matched 

I am in same Boat as others.  I finally after a couple hard core months got to level 60, but now instead of challenge battles they are just battles.  I am only in diamond league and yet everyone  I play has units typically at 11.  I have a few 10’s but mostly units that are 9.  Very rearly can I win, yet now I loose medals because they are not challenge battles. WTH???

This is probably the case for me, but if this is the case and you’re aware of it, why not put a patch in place? It makes it unplayable and is likely gonna turn people away... I’m battling constantly people levels 5-10+ above me and it’s impossible and if I’m outside a challenge battle when it happens I’m losing medals... it’s unfairly matched and not giving us the fair go when we have medal challenges to win crates. Please fix or I’m outta here.

Do you mean unit levels or commander levels? Also, which league are you in?

You guys want the game to give you free credits at the same rate of those who paid for them? Yeah. That’s fair.

It’s not about paying for credits versus not paying for credits @Marine_CorporaI. You’re missing the point of this thread. I would like to play this game on merit and not have it be a slot machine where I have to keep putting money in to level up units only to be continually mismatched forcing me to purchase even more credits. Kind of slimy if you ask me. How about this EA, make the game a subscription instead? That would make it more fun to play because it wouldn’t be a financial arms race and would elevate players based on skill. I’d be willing to pay for that given how well the game is put together otherwise. I know the current model makes more profits in the short term. So if that’s what is more important to you then Godspeed. But I’m willing to bet if you take up my suggestion you will have much greater success in the long term. Your welcome!

I certainly would pay 5 or 10 a month for a subscription but unfortunately I would be in the minority. People just do not want to pay. That’s the nature of the beast and the game would die. 

The biggest problem besides the tech lab is that this game makes you progress too quickly up the ladder through the leagues. This is possible with the win streak bonuses and challenge matches that do not allow you to lose progress. Take those away, and rather than getting to Masters in a couple of weeks with low level units, it would take you months. 

If they did that, you wouldn’t get to Masters with level 7, 8, and 9 units. You’d be stuck in Platinum league instead with a much lower level cap. 

This isn’t helpful. The game isn’t fun when every match is a challenge match. You get demolished in the first 60 seconds because the weapons the other player has can’t be beaten with what you have. It’s very frustrating. Is there a way to play normal matches and not have every match a challenge match? Feels like something you could limit or fix.
