Why no new C&C FPS?

It's been a long long time since Renegade came out... with the rise of games like Battlefield and others.  Wouldn't this be the perfect time to introduce a good story based game like Renegade set in Red Alert universe?  I feel the unique equipment and units would work amazing and the fan base has been dying for a truly good well written game.
