Access to MK-II parts?

I just completed my first run of DS3, and I had a question about what type of game mode to play next.

With a standard New Game+, where I keep my old equipment, will I encounter MK-II parts? Or is the only way to find MK-II parts to complete a round of Pure Survival or collect every item and then build them?

I'd rather keep messing around with my standard New Game+ equipment than play Pure Survival, but I do want to get at least some MK-II parts.

You can get some MK-II parts from the "Awakened" DLC, some MK-V parts by purchasing Resource Packs with Ration Seals(from Scavanger Bot) or $, an MK-II set by finishing the Pure Survival, Some MK-II can be found through New Game+ and finally some get unlocked by collecting artifacts(all of them) or completing al co-op missions, or other "100% collectibles"(check the game progress in the Pause Menu -> it tells you there what you will unlock).
