[Under Investigation] Dead space 3 Multiple achievements won't trigger

Same. Even playng on Pure Survival that message saying "Hardcore mode completed" appeared. I was so happy after finishing Hardcore only for see that the achievement for it wasn't there. All my effort to waste (and time). Yeah, they messed something up after deleting that achievement

Hello EA Team!

"Supercharger" achievement (Finish charging the reactor in under 90 seconds) seems to be bugged and doesn't unlock anymore since "The Brave New World" was removed. I manage to do it much faster and already tried many times but with no luck in unlocking it no matter how fast I am. Many other Steam users confirm the issue so I am no alone here with this problem.

First time noticed: April 3 2024 somewhere at  9 PM (GMT+2) if it matters

Device: PC

Any troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried (like restarting your device):

• yes, I did restarted my device. It was hard but I managed to do it
• tried to fit the achievement requirements at my first attempt on replaying the chapter and succeed to beat it in time
• tried with "restart checkpoint"
• tried with "save and quit"

I have yet another achievement related problem but I will create a new ticket for that

I have similar issue but with Pure Survival Mode.
It is important to note that I've never ever started Pure Survival Mode. I was in the middle of my Hardcore Mode. Somewhere at chapter 13 I stopped playing to take a break, and on main menu screen I got rewards for the completion of Pure Survival Mode. The rewards weren't fake because once I switched back to Hardcore Mode gameplay I could see in my inventory these Overclocked parts and some resources I haven't had before.

Same here, finished Hardcore, and Classic, no achievements.

My brother has the same issue.

I cannot recommend the game to anyone if it is bugged and cannot be done to 100%

@markymark71190 Achievements are harder than a simple bug. Especially when there are no more updates to the game, and it deals with different platforms like Steam.

This one specifically has been called out a few times, even on Steam Here!

If reloading a checkpoint didn't work, you can try the following.

Save the game as a new save. Close the game down, log back in, and load the new save.

You can also reload back further than the checkpoint if you can. As the game is now 11 years old, there won't be any real way to get that updated for players. If the few workarounds are not working, we ask that you please post that info on the Steam thread for that achievement.

Thanks for the quick reply - I realise achievement bugs aren't trivial especially on multiple platforms.

There was an update to the game in late March 2024 - One that removed the previously unattainable achievement 'Brave new world' in an attempt to fix the issue where players can't achieve 100% completion.

I wanted to draw attention to the issue that multiple people have reported that in removing this achievement - It has caused several other issues to occur where it is now impossible to achieve several other achievements now (listed in my original message above). 

I already tried what you mentioned above (and mentioned it in my original message)

I'm asking to bring this to the attention of the technical team as the update deployed in March 2024 in an attempt to fix the achievement issue has definitely broken several others putting the game in a worse state.

@markymark71190 I have asked on this one and it is rough honestly because depending on where the issue is, i.e., or platform, different people may have to look at it. Especially when it comes to different platforms. 

Taking a look online I can see a bunch of threads on it yes. I do not see enough on here to warrant that being opened as an issue. I cannot use players posting on Reddit or GameFAQs for example. I would need enough here to push that as an issue.

I have also seen players call out the other achievements as well though when attempting to get other achievements.

For me too, a lot of achievements were glitched and took me several attempts to unlock. But "are aren't u thankful" and "supercharger" won't unlock at all.

The issue is persistant on the EA app platform and on Steam
I've tested a bit more and it seems that a few of the achievements arent too bad 
axes high for example where you have to get 30 axe kills gives inaccurate information for the achviment progress , where it isnt awarded even when the counter is set to 30/30. This however and similar counting achviments are be circumvented by brute forcing with more kills so these arent hard broken

However as mentioned by the other two players ( RoomierOhio39 and de8ault ) in this thread and also me:

- Supercharger where you need to charger the reacter in under 90 seconds is completely unachieveable
- As is "arent you thankful" where you need to finish the game in hardcore mode is also unachieveable

The other achviments are doable with some peristance but these 2 absolutely cant be gotten since the update in March 2024.

I'll condense the information here:

- Platforms affected: PC (both Steam and EA app)
- Achievements affected: "Supercharger" and "Aren't you thankful?" both  are impossible to get despite multiple attmepts and 100% sure the requirements have been met

at least 3 people here on EA here and numerous others in the offical dead space 3 page for steam have reported this issue since the March 2024 update to the game
