If your going back through the game can't you just do chapter select-->chapter 5--->conning tower? Why do you need the key? And if the key isn't there did you try checking your inventory?
I am doing chapter select. I need the key to access the elevator. It isn't in my inventory.

I've got the same problem with the PC LImited Edition. I've beaten the game but now the key does not appear in solo.
I played the chapter co-op with a friend and it still did not appear.
Then I did co-op with a random player and it was there!
I'm starting to think that key is there only a certain number of times, but if so that would be stupid.

I must admit that I have dead space 3 on both xbox and pc with pc being the obvious best 🙂
when I played the xbox version I completely missed Conning Tower and I have no idea how but in the pc I wast looking for it then I realised that it was in the mid station on the Terra Nova. Its not the most obvious thing to find because you don't actually get the optional mission for it until you enter I. Your locator will always point you to your objective and for some reason some gamers wont deviate from it, I think that you should fine the optional mission before you even get onto the tram.
