I installed dead space from a purchase of EA value games edition. install app...
if you were affected by the "Invalid license. Reason code = Invalid Cipher (0x0006)" issue, can you please check the game in Origin again? A small patch should download and gameplay should now work again.
If there are still issues afterwards, please uninstall the game completely, redownload it and then reinstall the game again.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks. Windows 8 and a SLI setup. Curious if anyone else affected here also has a similar setup.
Fallen0, the one thing you could try is running on a lower resolution, e.g. 800x600 to see if the game recognizes that one. If that does not help, you could try just running it with one gpu.

First off, when the game installed, it didnt create a folder with this path: " C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\DEAD SPACE ", but instead, it was created here: " C:\Documents\Electronic Arts\DEAD SPACE\ " , with no settings.txt file to be found.
All i needed to do was to copy the folder from the C:\Documents\ folder to the C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\AppData\Local\ and create a settings.txt file in the \Electronic Arts\DEAD SPACE folder, which can be found if u google:
