Dead Space 2 - black screen on game launch

Played Dead Space 2 a while ago and was trying to run it again. Same machine, but upgraded OS and video card now. Game launch causes monitor to go black/off though game still running since I can he...

The values in the settings file match my monitor's native values. Next thought?

Try right clicking C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dead Space 2\deadspace2.exe and goto the compatibility tab, tick the box for 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and then select your previous Operating System from the dropdown. Click Apply and Ok.
