Dead Space 2 (PS3) freezing/crashing

Question

I am writing because I am having problems with the game Dead Space 2 Limited Edition for the Playstation 3 system.&nbsp; The problem I am having is constant game freezing at the loading screen and at the beginning of chapter 8 of the game.&nbsp; Now I could not find a new copy of the game so I had to buy a used copy of it but I can insure you that the game disk is fine, no scratches or finger prints on the game disk.&nbsp; If it helps my Playstation 3 system is model is CECH-4001B and I am using three DLC packs.&nbsp; The Hazard pack, The Martial Law pack, and the Supernova pack.&nbsp; Is there anyway to fix the game from freezing or crashing and is this problem common with others with any other Dead Space 2 copies.&nbsp; Any help would be much appreciated

I've done all that but the problem still remains.&nbsp; I tried to start a new game and deleted all of my past saves but the game still freezes at the same points.&nbsp; Sometimes the game will freeze at the first loading screen or the beginning of chapter 8 or sometimes it would just be random.

So I tried all the steps on this page again an the crashing problem still remains, however I don't want to Restore PS3 System because I have to much stuff on the system, Games, Movies, Pictures and I don't want to go through redownloading everything because my internet is too slow.&nbsp; Tried to return the game to gamestop for a different copy but they wouldn't take it because the 7 day return policy is up.
