Dead Space 2 Wont launch Steam

Dead Space 2 Steam Fresh install will not launch. I have tried just about every option to fix the game I've found on the internet. Nothing will work.

@DHGFocalParsly Does the game not launch in task manager, or do you get an error message?

Hello, is there any news on a fix to this? I recently purchased the Dead space series through steam and can not open dead space 2 at all. thank you.
