Could you please tell us the exact hardware details of your laptop and have you tried to create a custom profile in your videocard driver suit or to revert to different aka older driver builts? It might be that the windows compability mode with Dead Space solves your issue. It is indeed rare that an issue like this happens while it is working with a connected monitor.
Cheers

Hardware details:
i5 M430 @2.27 GHz
Radeon 5870
4 GB RAM
Full spec here: http://www.msi.com/product/nb/gx740.html#hero-specification
I tried to add specific custom profiles at Catalyst CC, I also tried to use windows campatibility, admin rights. I installed Radeon Pro and tried to force different refresh rates (because as far as I know it's screen refresh problem) and many many other things, softwares, settings.txt changes etc. Funny thing is that no one knows how to solve it. I just wanna play Dead Space 2, even if I have no external monitor close to me :P

Your CPU has an Intel HD Graphics 3000 IGP on board and the game may be trying to use that rather than your Radeon 5870.
If you go to the Catalyst Control Panel and then 3D Gaming you can add Dead Space 2 to specify that the 5870 be used instead of the Intel IGP.

Thank You for answer. I already created Dead Space 2 profile in CCC but there's no option to choose between graphics. There are only Anti Aliasing, Texture Filtering, Frame Rate Control and Tesselation options to change. It's kinda annoying that there's no real "advanced" properties. Although it might be a good lead.
Any ideas how to switch between graphics? I can't find any info about that. Besides I forgot to mention that I don't see Intel HD graphic card in the Device Menager. This makes me think that my Radeon 5870 should be a primary GPU. It's a hard case to solve 😉

Ok, so I spent a lot of time searching how to switch graphics. Unfortunately there is no option to do this in GX740 (I found many oppinions about that, for example here https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=154255.0 OR here (in polish language): https://forum-pl.msi.com/index.php?topic=5466.0. That would explain why I have no Intel HD graphic in device manager. Still I have few options to check.
