Dead Space 3 Chapter 9 Glitch

I downloaded Dead Space 3 onto my pc and I am stuck on chapter 9 in the game because of an irritating glitch. On the cinematic sequence where Isaac has to climb up that snow track looking thing before he falls off a cliff and you have to press up on the left stick and he opens the door and a dead body falls out then you have to hit A repeatly then he wwings himself into the cabin and you hold the Left stick to crawl across the cabin. But once I get to the other side of the cabin where there should be a icon telling me i need to hit A repeatedly nothing shows up and I die! I saw this part being played in on of the dead space 3 video the developers released so I know the A button is suppost to appear and Isaac is suppose to bash the door open. I have already tried unplugging my gaming controller and using the keyboard which didnt work restarting my computer and restarting the chapter and neither have worked. How do I fix this? and if your answer is uninstall and reinstall the game, is there way to do that without losing my progress?
