My wife and I recently got Dead Space 3 after the hours of fixing the overlay then forwarding all ports and trying all manner of different suggested ways to join games without getting the "Failed to join" error I am still at an impass.
Another friend who used to play Dead Space 3 jumped on real quick and i Joined him instantly, so I am thinking the only thing that could be wrong is that we are both on the same router and that is somehow making the game decide it doesn't want to connect.
Does anyone have any tips or help on how to fix this?
I found the solution, it was quite easy when it actually showed up. One of the ports was the right one and you need UPnP for it to work.
Follow this but type in this port instead, 3659 into TCP.

It should work.
I made a mistake it should be UDP. So change from TCP to UDP. Then it should work.
