Can't launch DS3 on steam deck

Hey i just had the same issue on my pc, I ended up uninstalling, then reinstalling it, i tried the out validate files and a ton of stuff from forums, not of it work, except just re installing it. hope it helps

I don't think they are going to do anything about that. There are a bunch of discussions about how Dead Space 3 will work, with some facing problems while joining co-op, some having strict NAT issues, and others unable to play with family members using the same network. People have also tried Hamachi and Radmin VPN. Even on Steam, you will find many discussion threads pointing out these kinds of issues. I don't think they will ever fix those things by themselves. All we have to do is figure out which one is working and then tell or write it here.

Im experiencing the same issue I've tried forcing compatibility tools with Proton versions such as experimental, 7.0, 8.0, GE 10-29 etc I've tried on desktop mode running the game after doing a few steps on various forums that some had luck in it working but theyre dated as of 2-3 years ago from the looks of it the problem seems to stem from the ea app/orgin transfer in other words EA **bleep** thats mucking everything up im honestly at a loss here since im very new to these programming/launcher apps. I can only theorize maybe removing the files for ea app ? To try and bypass the windows that seems to either freeze after installing the ea app or boots u back to the steam ui. Some say if u get the window to log in or close it out.... I dont **bleep** know and its irritating. Here's a few other tricks that'll maybe work and this goes for all ea games that are experiencing this issue: 

Delete Proton files then boot the game( increases the likliehood of getting the ea window to pop up unsure if its a good or bad thing)

Verify game files for anything corrupted ( my steam deck fails to complete it and doesnt give me much to go off to see whats causing the issue but doesnt say the files are corrupted either)

Link your steam and ea accounts ( haven't seen it bypass the login screen after doing it myself )

Try various Proton versions or even other launchers that could maybe boot the game 

Thats it I think sorry for the grammatical errors tired asf trying to make this game work all night after buying it with dlc hope someone comes along with a solution
