Hi !Yesterday i bought Dead Space 3.I can't play coop with my friend but... I can play with other people in public servers. I tried all ideas what i find in net. I opened all ports in my router , turn off firewall and antivirus. I tried connect with Hamachi and Evolve but it's still doesn't work. Please help me.

I made a mistake it should be UDP. So change from TCP to UDP. Then it should work.

At first, download and install the latest version of Origin at www.origin.com/download (and make sure you have your Origin account ready as well) Close the origin client and go directly to you origin folder C:\Program Files\Origin Games. Run the origin.exe in this folder with a rightclick -> run as administrator. Try to deactivate your firewall/antivirus software, get sure that Origin.exe and DS3.exe is added to the whitelist of your protection software. Some firewalls are able to block applications even while disabled. Check the online ports of your connection: TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127 UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300 For specific instructions on how to open your ports, please visit http://www.portforward.com/ or contact your router manufacturer. I got the same Problem, my friend got the same router like me (vodafone easybox 803), and we turned on the DMZ mode, its like we opened all ports.If i do turn the game into public, strangers can join our games, but not my friend to me.We turned all off, for example the firewall and the virenscan.We got both the Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Essentials, my friend win 8 64 BIt, me Vista 64 Bit.I think, its a bug with ur software and the vodafone router -.-Can u fix this problem plz, all of my games are working, i can host everywhere with the activ DMZ modus.

My wife and I recently got Dead Space 3 after the hours of fixing the overlay then forwarding all ports and trying all manner of different suggested ways to join games without getting the "Failed to join" error I am still at an impass.Another friend who used to play Dead Space 3 jumped on real quick and i Joined him instantly, so I am thinking the only thing that could be wrong is that we are both on the same router and that is somehow making the game decide it doesn't want to connect. Does anyone have any tips or help on how to fix this?

Hello!Me and my friend are trying to play Dead Space 3 coop, but we have encountered serious problem "failed to join game". This problem comes up when i try to join him and even when he tries to join me. BUT there is no problem when we try quick match.We are immediately connected to other players with no problem, but when we try to join each other, there it is "failed to join game" . We have tried everything, what we knew (or we could find on google). We tried switching off the antivirus, firewall, updating the game, updating the origin, running origin as administrator, running deadspace3.exe as administrator, we tried opening these ports:TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127UDP: 3659, 9999,14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300I tried to look up this problem and i have find out that this problem is very common and very few were succesful in solving this problem (they solved it by using one of the methods i already tried)I would be glad if you could help me with this problem Thank you

Still not working, yes i entered my ip adress and i entered that UDP port :/

Weird, have you enabled UPnP in the routher ? Try and open this port within the routher also.

Yes, we did. We spend last 3 hours doing whatever solution we could find. Still not working. Funny thing is that we can join via Quick game perfectly fine, but we cant connect on each other. PCs 100meter apart.

I had the exact issue and then suddenly with the fix i posted it worked. One thing you can try is switch out the UDP to one of the other ones mentioned in the thread. It might be country independent ports, I am located in Sweden so it might be a different one for you.

Worst company ever,they honestly just do not care and leave us to fix all the problems with their **bleep**ty infrastructure. Just let Dead Space 3 be on steam, at least Valve know's what the hell they are doing, and are willing to share working solutions with their consumers. Origin is an abomination and they don't even care enough to make it not be a total pile of crap. Thank god I only paid one dollar on the only Origin game I have, never again will I support this garbage.

OK so the first time me and my friend launched ds3 and started co op it started up just fine and we played several chapters. we finally decided t go to bed and saved an exited. the next day when we wanted to play again we get This BS error saying failed to join. no matter what EA says its not our port nor our fire wall or AV that's all BS there where no issues and then there are it ha nothing to do with my setting what so ever its all on origin deciding not to work.

Look for a solution for over 7 hours, I finally found it, and it was all on the surface of the guys. Almost the entire internet says that there is no solution, or require dedicated IP, but it is not so!
Support EA says you need to open the ports on which it does not approve. Here we must drop deeper if you are happy because the owner of the modem and ADSL dynamic IP, that's my decision.
D-link 2500u had to upgrade the firmware to 1,0,50
then went to the modem address is 192,168,1,1 and found all you need to open a port, namely the virtual server

naturally set up your firewall to cover those ports, and tested. It works thanks ZUMITSU (helping with tests for 7:00)

Yeah, I get the feeling EA servers are down or something.
I set my machine as the DMZ host. This does not help at all. DMZ = no firewall at all.
