dead space android and red samurai controller

OK so I just got the red samurai controller as well as dead space for Android. The problem I'm having is that I can't use the controller with the game but games top site says I should be able to something about it being preloaded to work with it. I've tried both gamepad mode and keypad mode nether work please help and if u happen to know how to map the controller without rooting my acer a110 I would very much appreciate it. I love dead space and I would love to be able to play it with that controller so that I can play it on my TV with my tablet please help and thank you.
