Dead Space CO-OP not working. NAT Type: Strict

Greetings,

I have played Dead Space 3 CO-OP before (about 2 years ago) with no problems. Today I can not play it because my NAT type is: strict .

I have tried port forwarding all the ports you mentioned in a solved thread from who knows how long. I have tried turning on uPnP, I have tried using DMZ, I set up a static IP address for that.

None of those things had any impact on your game. I am starting to get angry because no one on the internet has a solution that I have not tried multiple times.

I would be very grateful if EA would contact me and try to help me to solve this problem. I am a computer technician and it would take us little time to fix it if we do it together.

I do not understand that in the year 2018 we have to force people to do this kind of nasty router configs just to play together.

It should be your first concern to address such issues, and not to ignore these nice people who pay money for you products.

If I do not get an answer from someone I will assume you really are the developer everyone says you are.

Thank you!

@Govnomat Are you playing on console or PC?

If you are having issues with a strict NAT type and have run through the different troubleshooting steps such as setting up DMZ, lowering Firewall settings, etc then it may be worth speaking with your ISP to see if they can help guide you through fixing this.

    Greetings,

I am playing on PC, origin client, downloaded the game yesterday to play with friend, I noticed you posted some troubleshoots,

but none of them works, my NAT type remains strict no matter what I do, my friend doesnt even have the NAT type on his screen when he enters the coop menu,

neither of us can quick join games or play with each other, port forwarding doesnt work, uPnP does not work, DMZ also does nothing.

Even had the router linked to the EA tunneling port at one time, and that did not work, I have no idea what kinda stuff is wrong with that game.

If you have better info that to contact my ISP it would be nice, since i work for my ISP and we cant do nothing.

    Thanks!

@Govnomat If you have opened ports, set up a DMZ, opened ports and done everything else then there is nothing we can really suggest.

Do you have a seperate router and modem, if so then you may need to make changes on both.

If it is not possible to change your NAT type then only the ISP can help you get this sorted as all this points to an issue with your network.

    Greetings,

Can you write to me what ports I can open, maybe I was reading an old thread, so I can try one more time?

    1. I made a static IP address

    2. I went into my router settings and port forwarded : TCP80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
    UDP
    3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

    3. That did nothing

    4. Set up DMZ to my static ip address, did nothing

    5. turned on uPnP, did nothing

    6. at one point uPnP said it had its port mapping set to EA tunneler, but still nothing

    Did I do something wrong?

    I used http://www.portforward.com/

    Thank you!

@Govnomat As I said above, if it is not possible to change your NAT type then only the ISP can help you get this sorted as all this points to an issue with your network.
