dead space won't install in English
I've bought the game. Says select language of installation: offers only French and German. I don't speak either.
My origin client is set to English.

Please try the following steps:
- Click the "Start" button, and select the "Computer" option.

Double-click on your computer's hard drive icon, followed by the "Documents and Settings" folder.

Double-click on the "Application Data" folder, followed by the "Electronic Arts" folder.

Double-click the "settings.txt" file to open the file in NotePad.

Locate the section of text that reads "locale = XX," where "XX" is the language abbreviation for the game's current language.

Replace the "XX" portion of the text with the language abbreviation for the language that you want to use. For example, if you want to change the language to English, you would type "locale = en."

Click the "File" menu, and select the "Save" option.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the issue was not resolved. Typing locale = en prompted the game to ask me to select a language upon stratup. Only French and German were offered as choices. Once I choose a language (e.g. French), the text resets to locale = fr.
Note that I read about the problem and found that this happens to players who purchase the game in Germany and Austria. I, myself, bought it in Switzerland, but uninstalled it and downloaded it again in Hungary, but nothing was changed. Any further suggestions?

That`s unfortunate, from the info I could gather it seems to be a language and region restriction.
In some countries there are some legal requirements in relation to translations, mature and violent content and that might be the case here.
You will probably find ways online to bypass that, but I could not sent you any of those links, given that they are not official and might "infect" your machine with viruses.
Please try the following:
1-Open Registry: (WIN+R) enter regedit
2- In the Registry editor, find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\Dead Space
3- Change "Locale" and "Language" strings to your language- for English
