I just purchased Dead Space via Origin....

I just purchased Dead Space  (the Original product) already have 2 &3, via Origin and I am having a problem playing the game. I keep geting the error message

 Invalid License Reason Code = Invalid Cipher (oxooo6)... They charge me CC, I got a receipt but I can't strt the game. It's in my inventory, I click on play and then I get the error message

Invalid License Reason Code = Invalid Cipher (oxooo6) over, over, over over and over again...what's the fix for this?

    Hi, are you using the English version? If not, which language are you using? Have you tried restarting Origin? It may also help to repair the game through Origin. To do this, right click on the game in the My Games section and choose to Repair Install.

    Yes it is the English version, No I haven't tried to repair install yet but I will now. I'll also keep you posted

    No That didn't work. I repair installed, tried to start game. same error message. I then closed Origin, reopened it attempted to restart the game....same error message. I HAVE NOT uninstalled and reinstalled yet for fear of losing game key....please help...I know it's an old game but I enjoy DeadSpace 2 & 3 so much I just decided to purchase Dead Space 1. I have it on my tablet but I really don't play games on it. I am also having the another problem in Dead Space 3 with the Conning Tower mission.....it's like the movie Ground Hog....A constant DE'JA VOUS.....I've caught the tram, moved on....saved but I am always redoing it over, over, over, until I've just stop playing it.

    I'm sorry to hear that. I can see that the key is associated with your account, so that wouldn't be lost on a reinstall. It's worth trying a reinstall after restarting your machine with a Clean Boot.

    For the DS3 bit, are you getting warped back, or is it killing you and reloading the save?

    in regards to the DS3....I've caught the tram, completed all of the side missions, but the game says inventory saved, progress saved...BUT it always restarts me at fighting all the creatures prior to catching the TRAM....this is a major issue. I thought I had found a cure by starting my chapter i.e,. Chapter 7 66% complete....This has worked ONCE...now all of that work, and progress isn't even agailable...

    Let's work on DS 1, then DS 3....There are a lot of folks on the forums upset about the DS 3 situiation.

    Hi well nothing has changed....I've uninstalled the game Dead Space, restarted my PC, went back into Origin re-downloaded the game...attempted to start the game and I get the same error!!

     

    However since then I've also purchased Battlefield Brothers in Arms, and Battlefield 4...both are which are working fine via Origin. This seems to be a Dead Space problem just as the Deadspace 3 problems seem be. I'll wait for a reply from you hopefully this week. 

     

    In the meantime I am considering a refund or exchange...

    I recently purchased Deadspace, along with other titles, and cannot access it. When I try to play it, it says that I have and invalid license and the reason code is invalid cipher (0x0006). I just spent a lot of money on this and the other titles, please help. Also, just to repeat, this is for Deadspace the first one. I couldn't find deadspace in the select location drop down menu, only deadspace 2 and 3

    I just printed those two solutions out. There are a lot of people with this problem on the Origin Forums and it dates back as far as Feb.2013...I am not too sure I am willing to go through all of this for O N E game when all of my other games work FINE. I am at the point where I just want a REFUND however that option is NOT available when I look into my history. EA has also made it very hard to call or email anyone for TECH SUPPORT. As usual I'l keep you posted. I'm really not that interested in playing DEAD SPACE !! It's too much aggravation:mansad::manfrustrated:
