click on the Dead Space 3 words at the top of the post. check out the hundreds of people having the same issue since the game came out in Feb. Still no fix. Don't let them tell you its your PS3 console. I HAVE PLAYED THIS ON 4 DIFFEENT CONSOLES AND TRIED 3 DIFFERENT BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX DISCS. all with different log in names They even tried to tell me it was my internet connection causing the problem even though I play mass effect 3, need for speed, dead space 2 , burnout paradise, call of duty games, all online without a freeze. AND - I tried disconnecting from the internet, modem and roouter shut down and unplugged. as disconnected as can be (they tried to tell me that even though i select disable internet connection from the xmb that I am still partially connected)- and the game will still freeze.
By the way - I have done the safe mode restore data base thing , cleared cache files, cookies and all that stuff. One of the consoles that freezes is a brand new, out of the box 500gb white model that only has 2 game installed on it . Burnout Paradise and dead space 3. Please do not give people the same line that it is ALWAYS the ps3 consoles fault and that it has nothing to do with the new progress saving and co-op drop in / out system and restart at last uninteruppted point save system. This game freexes at auto save points, in the middle of elevator rides just as the words "objective added" tries to appear and in general scene transition points in the game.
