No audio in dead space 3

Am I right that you are playing on PC?

Please check at first your sound and video driver (videocards can cause problems with audio as well). Sometimes VOIP software like Teamspeak can block your audio in a game. Check if you have any software running in the background which my interfere with your audio-driver/codecs. Check if your DirectX is causing some trouble, get the latest version and update it.

Please download and install the latest version of Origin at www.origin.com/download.
Go directly to you origin folder  C:\Program Files\Origin Games. Run the origin.exe in this folder with a rightclick -> run as administrator. 

Open your Origin client and go to "My Games" -> rightclick on "DSIII" and choose "Repair Install"

Do you play any other games on this rig aka is only Dead Space producing this sound issue?

I have this problem also.

I've tried everything I can think of to get the audio to ACTUALLY WORK, but it still hasn't been resolved for me.

The only thing I can find on my PC that might conflict with DS3 is the Origin thing itself, but you obviously can't play without it so I see no resolution.

Intro runs with sound, but when gameplay starts there is only silence...

All drivers updated to latest version, Origin installed new...

Problem appears only with DS3!

Had same problem.  Audio set to speakers and not headphones.  I plugged the headphones into the speakers and story line audio fixed.  If you cant plug into speakers, try setting audio to headphones for output.  Hope this works for you!

I'm Playing Simcity 5 with no problem... 

I have a similar problem. I get audio through my headphones in the menu and the intro movie, but as soon as the game starts, my headphones stop playing audio, and it comes out through my laptop speakers instead. Unplugging my headphones and plugging them back in will get me sound through my headphones for 1 second, then it switches back to the laptop speakers.

My headphones are set as default in my audio drivers. I can play other games, watch movies, youtube videos, play music, etc, with my headphones with no problems.

not sure if it will help any 1, but game already installed and i was using default windows audio drivers, and after installed original drivers (sound on menus but dead after in-game)

re-installed windows with original audio drivers and the rest (framework/directx/gpu) and problem solved, am not a pro but am 99% sure that the problem comes from origin but whatever the prob come from, need to re-install windows just for this to work on a 2015 pc it's a shame like if i was still getting to get sound on a 286pc XD anyways, guys don't wait for them to get u a solution so wild and search on net or by your selfs peace ^^
