I'm having the exact same problem. I went into the BENCH and went to DLC and saw that i could use rations to buy some of the DLC and thought cool, by the time i got to the next bench and tried to spend them the whole spend your rations option disappeared.
I can't access the DLC options from the benches nor the main menu. It just says "Unable to retrieve information from Origin. Please check your connection and try again.". Anyone else facing this problem?:manfrustrated:

I'm not having any problem accessing the DLC page from the main menu or in-game workbenches.
I've continued playing and I am up to 80+ Ration Seals but I still cannot use them because there is no option to spend them on anything in the Main menu DLC page, or the DLC page you access from workbenches. I went through each page one by one numerous times at different workbench points while playing and there is still no option to spend them on anything.
This is a bit riduclous, as we were all led to believe that we were supposed to be able to use Ration Seals to buy anything you could buy with real money; and there's nothing there at all. I'm losing faith fast over here. Ridiculous as a word doesn't even justify this situation, is this a scam or what?
We paid 60 dollars for the freaking game just give us all the features that comes with a full priced game for gods sake you bloodsucking developers are out of your minds. I swear this is going to be my last EA game I ever purchase again if this DLC menu doesn't start changing for the better, and fast.
Everything in this menu should be able to be purchased with these ration seals, that is what you stated when you advertised the game in the first place dead space 3 develepers.

Hmm I'm also frustrated over this. Perhaps EA just needs a little more time to get their **bleep** together, hopefully.
It is now august 10th and still no fix for this problem. I think they just got pissed off that the game didn't meet their sales expectations. So they decided to tell us to **bleep** off. This game has been nothing but a failure in everyway. they have ruined this game to the core. and for whtat reason I don't know. LISTEN UP E.A, the game failed because you guys did a 360 and didn't even educate people on how to play this game, there are tons of things in this game that was just overlooked and no explanation at all. Its ok to change things but TUTOR YOUR AUDIENCE. So I guess if a game isn't their version of success they just abandon ship and give no support. WOW
Broken for me also, no option to spend ration seals in dlc menu, very disapointing.
