Please get sure that you have installed the latest Version of Origin at www.origin.com/download.
Close the origin client and go directly to you origin folder C:\Program Files\Origin Games. Run the origin.exe in this folder with a rightclick -> run as administrator. Open your Origin client, go to "My Games" -> rightclick on DSIII -> choose "Repair Install"
Even if your PC hardware should run DSIII without issues , please disable all graphic enhancements in your Nvidia control panel. You can try additional beta driver, especially with Windows 8 (DSIII is not supporting Windows 8 at the moment), some driver built could be unstable.
Could you please provide us some more information about the hardware specification of your laptop?
