Re: Dead Space 3 wont launch on Steam or Origin

Hey @Fwatwango If you haven't already can you go through the following to see if the game will launch on the PC?

  • Set DS3 to run as admin in Compatibility settings
  • Run Steam/Origin as Admin
  • Allow Steam/Origin and DS3 through any security on the device
  • Disable in running overlays, including Origin in-game
  • Trying running your device in a Clean Boot

  • @EA_Illium I've been struggling to make my game work for the past few days as well, I tried everything you listed aside from the part about disabling Origin in-game overlay and that one did the trick for me! Thank you so much!
  • Hello, I am back after several days, I am sorry for the delayed response, I am very busy with work. I appreciate all the responses. So I have tried out all of the fixes below and I still seem to have the same problem as before.

Steam and Origin wont let me run them as administrators, when I do so I get a message saying I am running them in compatibility mode and they wont launch until I turn it off/uncheck the launch as administrator box. launching dead space as an admin or in compatibility settings does nothing.

I allowed Origin, steam, and Deadspace 3 through my Malwarebytes security, but the game still wont launch. and finally disabling the overlays didn't change anything either.

I tried Running the device in a clean boot but it didn't seem to work either.

I keep reading things that say clean booting your PC is really effective in terms of getting games to work, so I think I am going to try it a few more times, and ill keep you updated on how it goes, but as of now nothing so far has fixed my previous issue.

I appreciate all the Help and suggestions, let me know if you guys figure out anything else.

  • No, nothing has changed so far, Still trying to figure out what could be causing the issue with launching.

  • Sorry again about the delay in responding.

Absolutely I can get you a dxdiag

Here you go, I appreciate you working with me on this, let me know if you need anything else.

  • Sorry to bother you but did you happen to find anything that could be causing the problem?

  • I went into the EA app and clicked settings, clicked the application tab, Scrolled down to In-game overlay and it has an on and off slider that i turned off. This method worked for me, hope it helps you.
