Re: Dualsense feature - Not supported on PC

@CharleAllenSu, controller-specific functions (like Haptic feedback) and a completely malfunctioning controller are two different things. Please keep the threads separated. Thanks.

@battle_swagger45, can you check if the PC is detecting the controller via your Device Manager?

  • Currently, I have the same issue.

I tried with my PS4 and PS5 controller with USB through EA play, and they all detected well through Device manager. and they work well for basic gameplay control, except the vibration.

I'm not expecting Dualshock-specific functions, just the good old controller vibration. But so far non of my controller shown any vibration in any circumstances.

  • I have come to the conclusion that once you load into the game , dualsense controller will work with the correct buttons however the game does not support any vibration. This forces those who want vibrations to use third party programs that emulates an xbox controller. Hopefully you can communicate with the team to look into adding dualsense features.

    Thanks all.

@Philfycasual, I am sorry, about what exactly? 🙂

I believe that two separate, unrelated, threads have been merged and that there, therefore, is some confusion. My posts were related to a thread that was about the DualSense controller not functioning at all on PC, not that some DualSense features are not supported on PC.

@EA_Leeuw Well, the issue is twofold.
    1. The missing DualSense Features on PC -- there's no sense in saying it's 'not supported' because there are plenty games that do, so it's either oversight, or purposefully not been implemented because the controller is recognised correctly within the game. Clarity on that front would be nice.
    2. The missing BASIC vibration functionality, which regardless of point 1, IS an issue, considering the controller is recognised in-game.

    Hey @Philfycasual,

That a controller is being recognised in a game doesn't mean that all controller features are being supported by the game.

@EA_Leeuw Just because they're not supported by the game doesn't mean they shouldn't be. It could just be a bug.

Should probably say that BASIC vibration function being missing is a bug regardless of the rest of it.
