Re: Higher than normal PC Temps

There is no way the large amount of people seeing these huge CPU temps all have cooling issues

    Hi Everyone,

It seems we have a few different issues post in this thread. To confirm the original poster indicated an issue with High CPU temps.

I wanted to check who may still be having that problem. For other issues please make a new post so we can gather info and provide relevant information.

If you are still seeing issues with high CPU temp please let us know the following:

    Platform:
    PSN ID/Xbox GT:
    Region:
Are you using an internal or external drive?
Are you using an HDD or SSD?
Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?
    Is anything else happening?
If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
If on PC, please share a DxDiag

  • I'm having high cpu temps (average 95° with peaks around 98°c) and my GPU usage goes up to 100%. My PC shuts down because of the high temps or because of GPU usage, my cooling system is perfect, and I run other hardware-demanding games perfectly.

    Hello,

I am having issues with my CPU temp as well. The temps slowly build up from 70-95+ while playing. Not running anything extra while playing, tested in an empty room with no items/enemies and the temp still climbed.

    Platform: PC - Steam
    Region: USA
Are you using an internal or external drive?: Internal
Are you using an HDD or SSD?: SSD
Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?: Since launch.

Ok, undervolting (-0.095) helped me to lower down temp of -15 C deg. level, what is good news. Now I have something between 72-78 during playing (RT on, 2,5K, mix high/ultra settings), this is how it should have looked from the beginning and I see blue leds in my case all the time 😉. But ... this is some form of workaround and not everyone has the knowledge of how to rummage in the bios

    HI Everyone,

I wanted to check after the latest patch if anyone was still seeing high PC temps while playing Dead Space?

I have installed the game today and Im experiencing the same issues with high CPU temperatures, my CPU is a Ryzen 7 3700X and it goes up to 95°C. Ive never had this issue on a game before, the max temperature I got in other games was like 85°C..

My GPU temperature on the other hand is absolutely fine.

The weird thing about the CPU temperature is that it goes that high right after starting the game and even when in menu.

I dont have other issues like framedrops, besides the known loading stutters here and there.

DLSS is disabled and Im running the game on 60fps vsync enabled but on ultra details.

Its like the game is constantly shader-caching or something like that, feels like the CPU never has a chance to cool down, really weird.

  • @EA_Illium I am ahving these issues on a really high end CPU and I have had to make a post about my findings, I have tagged you and several other community managers and got no reply, I have even made a 1 hour long recording of myself testing and benchmarking showing all of the issues with the game, it seems that no one at EA actually wants to help me, the chat bots didnt even believe I was having any issues and asked me to jump through all sorts of hoops before they would even escelate the issue to an actual human.

I will also be sending this message directly to you and to all of the community managers that I have seen in these boards as none of you are replying, thanks.

I am on an i9-9900k an rtx 2080 and 16Gb of ram.

I have no issue running any other EA game and I even play Escape from Tarkov at 144 fps.

here is the link to the topic I created: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/CPU-temperatures-Dead-Space-remake/m-p/13644251#M3962

    thanks.
