Chapter 5: Discover the Source of the Broadcast, Security Door to the Medical Bay is Glitched. See Screenshot. You can click on it, it gives me the blue overlay, while saying "Stand By," essentially making it impassible. I am sure its an easy fix for the developers, but I am sad, because was looking forward to trying to push through the entire game in one sitting. Now must wait or start over.
Same thing happened to me, i reloaded my oldest autosave and that fixed it, you could try that. I believe the reason that is happening is because when someone calls you the doors go on standby, and when the call is over they are open. So what i believe is happening is there is a glitch that happens where it basically thinks your in a call forever and the door is permanently on standby. I reloaded my oldest auto save and when Kendra called me I walked into the hallway where the door was and the door was on standby, then after she hung up it changed to open.
Well wtf do i do now since im playing on Impossible?
Beginning of the chapter 5. The game won't let me into the medical. I'm playing on Impossible as well, so loading older saves is not an option. Kinda considering refunding since I'm unable to progress.
Hello, I write to you on Twitter to solve this issue and the agent send me here, I'm doing imposible run on DSR, but at the start of chapter 5 the door is on "stand by" and cannot continue.
Already done what the support agent told me to do, but the door still glitch/bug,ñ. I'm playing on steam, and yeah already pass the game on hard so I know is an issue from the game.
There's any solution to this, I try to load the file, new areas, returning to medical but it didn't work.
Any help before I restart the run will be appreciated.

Which mission step are you on? Starting chapter 5, when you have to find Nicole on the lab but is Dr mercer
Have other mission steps, or interactable objects stopped working prior to the door? No, I can interact with side missions, store, doors, etc
If possible can you share a screenshot or clip of the issue?

To further support, I reload the file to interact with a secret that is found on the bridge, and work perfectly, but the door to medical still on "stand by" something is preventing the proper load of the area.
The conversation with Kendra (loosing comms) plays and is keep in my logs at the beginning of the chapter, see image 2

Also, I made a new post call " Dead space remake issues" where you can find all the issues being reported on steam by the moment, a player mentioned in the post is the one collecting all the information.
So I think this is a technical issue that might need engineering time to solve.
This bug has happened to me at the start of chapter 5. I get off the tram and that same door will not open. I'm on ps5 in uk and the door to medical is constantly on standby. I feel robbed

I've not had any other issues and this is quite irritating because I'm on impossible and don't wanna restart.
I'm taking notes, the issue is that the "objective complete" green screen isn't pop in, so the advance is halted. After update on PC several more issues arise, now there's is stuttering, I'm playing on a rtx 3080.
