Re: server error (5002)

Hi there,

A friend of mine recently bought the Dead Space app from the Google Play store on her HP Touchpad. I recommended the app to her because it worked perfectly fine on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, however on hers she appears to be getting the message "Server Error Server 5002". I've done some research on this error thus far, and come up with the fact that it's a fairly common error on some of your apps. However, I've found no results on how to solve this problem. Some of the answers I've found claim that she has to have another android to fix this problem, but according to her no one her her family has another one. She tried un-downloading and re-downloading the app, only to get the same error the second time. The 15 minute Google Play refund window closed for her, so she cannot get her money back for the app.

My question is if there is an answer to this problem? Is it something that happens among many tablet versions? Or is hers just unable to support the app? I promised I would help her with this problem and get it resolved as soon as possible, so a quick reply would help me out. I really enjoy the app myself, and want her to experience the fun I've been having playing it for herself, and for her to be able to give the game positive reviews.

Thanks! 😕mileyhappy:

    Hi hawkpool04,

Is your friend using custom firmware on that device?

It may be worthwhile trying to reset the navigation bar size to default.

    Regards,

    Barry.
