Retail Dead Space 2 activation code doesn't get redeemed on Origin

Hi all,

When I try to redeem my Dead Space 2 retail copy in Origin I get a "This code has already been used" error.

I tried the following scenarios:

- game installed, game activated, 4 of 5 activations left.

- game installed, game de-authorized, 5 of 5 activations left

- game de-installed

no joy with redeeming in Origin

The game installs ok and activates to my EA-Account properly after de-installing, but only outside of Origin.

Help is appreciated.

Yes, I have found this to be the only way after scouting the website some more.
There are / were other gamers with the same problem who could only be helped by direct intervention from the support. Now I have to figure out how this support interface works and at which times I can reach somebody while I'm not at work.
