Starting to regret my decision to buy the Dev Team Edition.

Not sure if anyone else has had trouble with these guys (Treehouse Brand Stores) with regards to the DS3 Dev Team Edition...

I preordered my Dev Team Edition (with the game on 360) on January 13th expecting that the game would at least arrive the week of release, I know usually when I have preordered games online, they tend to show up the day after at the latest.

Unfortunately, this was partially my fault, as I did not pay attention to the shipping tendancies of this store when dealing wtih Canadian addresses.

I guess they've never heard what a Courier is.

So I finally receive my package yesterday, awesome, i've been waiting a whole week to play DS3, been dodging spoilers and information left and right because I don't want to know/expect anything during my playthrough.

I unpackage everything, but there's something missing.

A very integral piece actually.

The game.

They've shipped me the 'Add On Pack' instead of the '360 Bundle' which shows up on my Receipt.

These 2 products have very different SKUs.

The Support Staff for this store (the same company that handles the Dead Space, Bioware, etc. stores) is apparently asleep at the wheel as it has now exceeded 20 hours since my ticket request inquiring as to where my $60 piece of of a $210 order is.

I have heard nothing.

They do not have any phone numbers to contact, and so i'm stuck here, out $60, and continuing to wait for a game that's been released for over a week.

I would have at least expected some form of correspondance by now...

    Hi griever92!

Okay that is an annoying experience, I can just imagine the feeling to unbox the devteam edition and the game is missing. Unfortunately, we can't help you out here at Answer HQ. You need to stay in contact with the treehouse brand store. Depending of the time and incoming traffic, it can last a while before you get an answer. 20 hours is not a special long amount of time, even if I totally understand that you want your money back.

Cross fingers that you get this solved soon!

this is no mistake friend, this is how they do it, send the "add on" out first, send the game out seperately.

The reason for this was that as you may know, the dev team edition was announced very late, only a month or so before the actual game was released.

For this reason, Visceral knew that most people would already have the game on preorder and would be unable to cancel it, OR people with preorders at local stores are wanting to pick up their pre order ON THE DAY, or people need their copy of the game to be from a particular zone... Anyway, there were numerous reasons why they released the dev team edition as an "add on" and as a "complete edition" ie, with the game, visceral didnt wanna put people out too much by the late suprise announcement so made the add-on.

The final reason for all this though, was that it would take a long time to ship out 5000 7lb packages to all corners of the world, very time consuming and people would get the games late, it would have been a mess.

So as it turns out, all 5000 versions, for shipping purposes, were send out as "add on's" with all coppies of the game going out completely independant of the dev team editions.

as far as the packaging of the dev team edition is concearned, all 5000 were exactly 100% identical to each other, they were all in effect "add ons", none featured the game actually INSIDE the box. so in effect, those who purchased "the complete dev team edition" actually purchased one dev team add on plus one cope of the game on the platform of their choosing.

So, your copy of the game was never meant to come with or inside the dev team box, they were all sent out on different days.

Its not much help now, but there was a delivery option where they would send the game out a few days before it was released so that it would arrive at your door on the day, there was also a digital download version, unfortunately none of this will help you now, but know that 90% chance there is nothing out of the ordinary going on - although it majorly sucks that youve had to wait - i feel for ya buddy!

When i had a question for them about this i used this link:

    https://eamerch.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/new

its pretty straight forwards and they will get back to you within 24-48 hours, quicker depending on timezone.

I picked my witness bundle copy of the game at my local EB Games, still waiting on the dev team add on to arrive though ☹️
