No problem, thanks for passing it on.
The solution I used to stop it from happening was to create a new EA account and link my Steam and Dead Space 3 game to the new one where there are no previous achievements. Not ideal I guess, but it will suffice.

Yeah definitely not the ideal solution no but, it does work for the time. It always feels good when you finally hit that achievement. Especially for those that are harder to obtain. I've spent my share of game time trying to get a handful so I understand when they pop automatically, you want to earn them.
