go to your game hit the start button(the one on the controller. don't start the game) then go to manage game and add one. click on internal storage. you should see online pass there. select it and download it
Yeah I'm starting to think Microsoft might have changed something, because the method on that post from 2022 no longer works, and the online pass doesn't show up on the store in-game, on the xbox, or in the link you sent. The main problem is my brother just bought the game on the Xbox store last week and has never had the online pass, and there doesn't seem like there's a way for him to get it at this point

With the changes that Xbox and PS are making to their marketplace, you will have to find a workaround like this to get the pass. If you were already entitled for it, it would show up in your purchase history, or under manage games in my games and apps because you already downloaded it once before.
If for some reason it is not, you have to find a way to obtain it and send it to the console, if the above do not work!
