Not trying to be a butthead, but while the game is broken for some, it isn't broken for all. With two major holidays in that time span since the last patch, and the need to actually figure out what makes it work on some machines but not others and what they can do about it to fix more than they break, I don't expect it to be a fast turn around.
You see, I have seen specs on people's machines which are almost identical to mine, yet they can't play, and mine runs pretty much flawlessly. I wish I could tell you what the difference was, but that is what the Devs are fighting against. There are Million plus units sold....and a percentage don't work...why?? Answer that, and tell bioware if you want a faster patch.

no offense intended... However..... you still succeeded... :P
Yes. I realize that this forum does not reflect the global populous.
However, it does show, that THOUSANDS of people ARE having issues
with the game. Whether the game crashes for them at some point,
or game breaking mission glitches, or just minor details -- like graphic
artifacting and such. And it is happening across all the platforms the game
was developed and published for.
If EA or Bioware was my company to run, I wouldn't have released the game they way they did, in the conditon it was in.
[Having been a legitimate business owner for nearly 20 years, I know that customer loyalty is what
is going to keep my business running. Customer loyalty and return customers. If I keep screwing
over my customers, they will go to one of my competitors, and it will be my competitors cashing in on them.]
With that said, EA and Bioware both, should be more communicative with their customers,
Let them know what is happening, what is being worked on, and any updates on their plan(s)
for fixing, improving, refunding, or replacing a defective product. But they have been completely
silent, since Dec. 10th.
I have already tried informing Bioware (but got redirected back to this forum), and EA about many of the issues that (at least PC) users are facing.
@I have tweeted @MarkDarrah, @Bioware, @Dragonage, and haven't heard anything other than BS things they've retweeted or are following.
I have looked at their Facebook pages, and other social sties where they post information (usually useless drivel about thier vactaions,
and how much fun they are having playing the game.)
I know that this game is huge, coding wise, and that it will take them time, but c'mon...
almost a month from release day to get a patch? (And that was because the entire
development team was on vacation release day(including Mark Darrah), when it should
have been an "ALL HANDS ON DECK!" day.
Getting back on point though, yes, the game is huge programming wise,
and with the crashbyte engine still being fairly new, I understand that fixing it
is a huge undertaking.
I just want some definitive answers as to date the game will be patched, and for what platforms,
From an offical and reliable source, that isn't going to -j e r k- all of us around,
and blow smoke up our keesters, with " we're working on it," or "We'll release it soon."
And then not produce, Holidays or not.
I figured they would have at least tried patching before Christmas,
which would have increased thier sales even more.
But, no, they're acting as if though they don't give a rats arse about it,
Because they are already celebrating the GOTY award.

Sorry for being a butthead, and I seriously doubt they know when a patch will be coming out, unless it is within the next 7 days. I agree, they should put a post up, "We know about issues and are working on them" but for whatever reason they haven't....whether that is because they were all out with family on vacation or because they were buried in code, don't know. As for releasing a patch just before Christmas, kinda glad they didn't if they were all leaving, can you imagine the issue if it messed up a bunch MORE stuff and then they all left?? And Sadly, while thousands are having issues, many more thousands are probably playing the game with only minor issues, and that is what they are looking at. Like I also said, they have to figure out why some machines work, and others tank and if all their machines are ones that work, then they have to get some that don't so they can figure out why. The more info and DX files they can get on here and through the help center the better chance they can of finding issue and NOT breaking worse things.
Can you imagine the backlash if they said a patch was coming out in a week, and it took 2-3 because of another issue that cropped up in testing??Or if they rushed it and it broke more stuff??

Lol. no worries.
Someone knows (dev team / QA / QC / management).
I already know a few people interested in a class action against them. but mum's the word. 🙂
and being that the game was rushed into production, who says the game was thoroughly tested to begin with?
and who's to say that they are thoroughly testing the patches?

The problem isnt that they aren't saying when a patch is comming.....
Its silence. They aren't replying to threads. Saying this will be addressed or even acknowleding.
Silence.
Seriously, developers don't even reply to anyone and this is the only place to post issues. Thats so messed up.
TBH, they are probably working on DLC instead of getting game to work = /

They have posted about the game's issues and upcoming patches on their forum. Two more patches are in the works, and they will focus on performance fixes, as well as gameplay changes on PC.
