"A Friend of Red Jenny" quest disappeared

So I had the quest progressed up until when I'm supposed to go to that seperate location right above val royeaux on the world map, but I did a bunch of other things after that and kinda forgot about it. Now that I know I get a new companion through that quest, I wanted to finally get back to it, but both the location on the map and the quest in my journal are gone? Have I progressed too far into the main storyline or have I ignored the quest for too long? In the main storyline I've just started "what pride had wrought".
