anyone having issue with new update (1.04) on ps4?
hi, so I just bought DA:I on the PS4 online store two nights ago. after it finished downloading, i was unable to play it as when i started it, i was kicked back to the homepage with an error code. Someone suggested a fix where i deleted and reinstalled but did not DL the update & dlc until I started and was in the game. this worked, however now it seems that I would have to do this everytime i leave the game.
Does anyone know if this is an issue with Patch 4, or an issue with the latest PS4 system update they did the other day?
The only thing that worked for me was to pause the update until the full (~45 GB) download completed. This is the step by step:
1. Disable Ps4 automatic downloads in rest mode (from Ps4 System options).
2. Download DA, and once the downloads start, pause the update file download. Don't resume until the very end. Don't play DA.
3. Allow the initial (5 GB) game download to complete. Unfortunately, once this completes, there is still another 39 GB or so that needs to be downloaded in the background. This will likely take a while, and will depend on your Internet bandwidth. I put the PS4 in rest mode and let it download overnight.
4. Put PS4 in rest mode, play a different game, or something else, but no DA for the time being.
5. You can monitor the background download status by highlighting DA in the PS4 main menu > Options > Information. Look for "Download Status." It will either show how much has been downloaded of the total 44 GB, or it will say "Completed."
6. Only finish downloading the update when the 44 GB download status is "Completed."
