Armor changed colour

After the patch installed yesterday on Xbox 1, (dec 15), nearly all of my Inquistior's armor has turned shades of brown and beige, sometimes khaki, but not the colour that it was supposed to be. He was wearing human battle mage armor, when the patch was installed,  which was red and green orignally I think. Now, it's different shades of brown, beige and khaki.

I crafted some armor, in the preview and inventory screen it looked navy blue and a lighter blue for sleeves, but once equipped it turned brown and beige in Haven. Once out in the field, I got the lighter blue sleeves, but the coat part still looked brown instead of navy.

  • are you sure you equipped the armor?

dis you upgrade the armor, with arms, and legs?

when at your home stronghold (i.e. Haven/Skyhold)

your characters appearence will change from what ever armor you are wearing to a tan, embroiderd, outfit.

but your armor should show back up once you go out into the world.

but just double check and make sure that the armor your crafted, and upgraded is equipped.

I have run into a few snags, when upgrading armor, because I forgot to confirm the changes, etc.

and also forgot to equip said armor to my character, or party member.

It's a bug in the game, it is supposed to give a dirty or muddy texture to your armor, except instead of doing that, it just turns the armor tan.

This is actually something that is being reported daily here, so hopefully Bioware will acknowledge it is there and fix it or even better, disable it completely, as it is something that only happens on High Mesh detail and above.

This is what is happening, and it does not look good.

There is no fix for this as of yet, other than playing on medium mesh detail, which is a bad tradeoff as your high goes shiny instead then.

I am hoping Bioware will comment on this and say "We are aware of this and it will be disabled asap", or give us a command line to turn it off ourselves.

Yes, I definitely had it equipped. It may be that it's supposed to be mud or dirt, it just looks brown 🙂

This bug needs to be fixed and it happens if our meshes are high and above. Honestly just disable the crappy dirt thingy and let us have our armour colours back.
