Before the Dawn - "Finding Samson's Weakness" War Table Bug!

I handed all of the smuggler's letters to Cullen AFTER already raiding the Red Templar's hideout (which made Cullen very happy) and then, spoke with Dagna and started the quest to find Samson's armor weakness. The marker appeared on the War Table map for her quest, but when I scroll over it, no completion time is presented and it constantly says "Busy" even when Cullen, Josie, and Leliana are all free! Their cards aren't even available when I scroll over/click on the marker on the map! I don't know what to do, and my Inquisitor is in a romance with Cullen, which I've heard can only be finished with the completion of this Samson quest line! Please, help if you can! I don't have any other saves to go back to. :'<

I'm on XBox One!!

So please help i am goinf inaane!

  • I'm having a similar issue. I've got the rune from her but the question to fight him isn't on the war table at all. I've spoken to Cullen and dinner Dagna's what's. I don't want to start the final quest without finishing the Sampson quest.

I had this glitch, but Josephine is the only one who can complete it so once she was available I was able to complete it. I think it's because primarily it's the "cost" of researching - " time and money" so Josephine will get it done for you.
  • I play this on PC and I'm experiencing the same problem. What I figure is that if you have completed part or all of the main Inquisitor's Path "What Pride Had Wrought" quest (I spoke with the advisors in the war room, but did not go any further in that quest), then you are unable to complete the "Before the Dawn" side quest. Wikia states this quest is only available before you "take on" the main quest. It sucks, but if you save constantly like I do, you could probably load a past gameplay before you started that main quest, if you want Cullen's approval badly.
I read it hear, if you care to check it out...

You need to do Before The Dawn BEFORE you even click on What Pride Has Wrought. You use the rune you get during WPHR so starting that means you have chosen to go without being able to destroy Sampson's armor. The mission to track down Sampson is after that, so you can judge him.

  • I've tried the full quest for Dagna, even talked to her and Cullen after, and it still doesn't stop saying that it's busy. Even left the game and came back to it and it still says it.
