Broken Josephine Quest an unexpected engagement

Ok. I do appreciate the replies, but to clarify, I'm not stupid and after 130 hours of play, I know how quests work. I have done the war room bit, I have done the Josephine bit, I have met the messenger who tells me to go to Val royeaux, the quest description says "go to Val royeaux to duel whatever he's called" but when I go there, nothing happens, there is no quest marker, no npc to trigger it, nothing. I'm pretty sure it's a bug as others off here are saying it's happened to them and they had to finish the game and leave this quest as incomplete. What I want is someone from EA to acknowledge it's a bug and suggest or provide a solution

Have you tried going to Val Royeaux solo, as in without companions?

No, I will try. That would be a tricky thing for EA to do but given that it's a duel it makes sense. Give me half an hour and I'll try it. I assume I just select no party members?

Yes. I tested it this way on ps3 and it worked fine. I'll reload later and attempt it the normal way and see what happens.

Ok so the messenger is near skyholds main gate near the merchants.... Talk to him then travel to val. There is no quest marker on the ps3 version either. I chose just myself going and it loads immediately into a cutscenr scenario.

If it doesn't do that then its bugged on whatever system you're on.

Definitely bugged, going ea give some support over it, it's frustrating as you invest many hours into a quest line only for it not to work

were you able to fix it? im currently facing this issue not being able to locate or trigger it in the war map
