BSN Project pages are offline, site is not

While I can log in, browse, and search for projects, and even download the main link shown on the browse/search lists, I can't view the projects pages.

These means, additional downloads, descriptions, and gallery pictures, are unavailable.

Some projects have vital instructions, in the descriptions, and unavailable files, due to this problem.

I've tried using IE 11 (which I never use, except for these types of checks), as well as my normal Firefox.

The page is opened, in firefox, but just a white page, and IE shows a generic, "The Website cannot display the page" message.

Can you please look into this issue, and fix it.

Bioware did shut down their Forum. I assume that this problem is in connection with the shutdown.

I will try to find out if the project descriptions will go online again and then update this thread.

I noticed that, stupid idea, not sure how that would affect this, as it's the individual project pages, not the Forum.

They've even removed read only access, to everything, on the forums.

    These links

    http://social.bioware.com/project/4443/

The number is the project page

    http://social.bioware.com/

Takes you to main Modern "BioWare Social Network", Which is a useless waste of space. With no links to the old site to be found.

To even get on the now read only modding BSN, you must use

    http://social.bioware.com/project

Which is the only method I've found, and results in a

    404: Page Not Found

So it's looking as though EA is actively stopping access to the mods, and in the process of closing it for good.

Despite what they say on the project page

    Quote

"Projects are now read-only! Don’t worry, you can still view and download projects, but you cannot create a new one or make updates to an existing project. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

Unless you know where to link to, it's totally hidden from public view.

Even that link, seems to be an unintended mistake.

EA wonder why their hated so much, this sort of disrespect of even their biggest games, most passionate fans, is why.

    Edit

The problem affects all the games, on the old BSN site

This link takes you direct to the browse projects page, but it reverts to the old links when you get there

    http://social.bioware.com/browse_bw_projects.php

The active download links, are of this format

    http://social.bioware.com/bw_projects_file_download.php?project_file_id=9871

I've tried the obvious, which gives the same blank page as the old links

    http://social.bioware.com/bw_projects.php?project_id=2595

That's some sort of result, as my mistaken attempt

    http://social.bioware.com/bw_projects.php?project_file_id=2595

Took me to the Modern main page at

    http://social.bioware.com

The page exists at least, but same failure to show any content, as the old links.

All this suggests the Project ID's still exist, but what the new prefixed address is, only EA knows, and they've said nothing.

Well now suddenly a new popup appears stating

    BSN Changes

Please note that Blogs, Polls, Albums, and Projects are now Read-Only, ultimately to be phased out in the future altogether. We apologize for any inconvenience.

So confirms they are deleting all this modding history, for no good reason.

Just goes to show EA deletes everything eventually, nothiong is sacred, just Ashes to be thrown away.
