Another player posted this in a (silghtly) different thread:

I just had the same issue when trying to complete a quest at Sundermount. Got onto EA chat and they had me make sure my Mac permissions are set to allow downloads from mac and other recognised developers, reset origin and reinstall it, and then go to disk utility (in utilities) and select the first aid option in there. It's fixed my game, hope it works for you, too, if you're still looking for an answer!
Thanks, @Mollyjs!
- 8 years agoHmm. I've been having this same problem for a couple months now and honestly I'm more than a little frustrated. In the time since I first encountered the bug, I have:
- reloaded to earlier saves
- started over with a new character
- used reset origin
- uninstalled and reinstalled origin
- uninstalled and reinstalled dragon age 2
- run disk utility first aid
- purged the RAM in terminal
- deleted all my dragon age 2 saves after uninstalling and reinstalling again then starting over with a new character
... And probably some other stuff I can't even remember. Every time I try to return to camp from Sundermount the game freezes and I get the error mentioned in the other thread:
"Exception Raised
Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000000c at address 0x7c49728a.
Do you wish to debug it?"
Selecting yes closes the game and selecting no leaves it frozen indefinitely until I force quit.
At this point I'm tempted to just give up.- 7 years ago
I literally bought a new Mac and I'm still having this error.
