I was able to repeat the crash with my usual graphics settings, so I changed the graphics to "Medium" and tried again. This time, I was able to complete the battle without trouble. I have no idea, of course, if that was just luck - Did I run the battle in such a way that the game-crashing graphic never executed? Hard for me to say.

Community AdminThanks, I got your save and unfortunately wasn't able to replicate the issue. I don't have a 970 to test but I did on a 770 and a 560ti. It might be worth removing and reinstalling a fresh set of graphics drivers. Perhaps there's some corruption of a driver file and a clean slate will help.
