Can you have more than one hero type in Dragon Age Keep?

OK, I hope I'm saying this properly so everyone can understand what I'm asking. Here goes... I know DA Keep doesn't support custom heroes from DAO or DA2, but I want to create several campaigns throughout the three games. However, I noticed that the Keep would not allow me to have two different characters of the same type. For example, my first campaign had a mage Hawke, and I wanted to create another playthrough with a different mage Hawke, but it would not support that. It forced me to change the name of my first mage along with the choices from playthrough 1. Am I the only one struggling with this? If it truly is setup this way, every time you have another playthrough, all choices and heroes will need to be changed if they share a career type with a previous character. That really sucks. Please, if someone can explain what I'm doing wrong (or not doing), I would greatly appreciate it. I REALLY don't want to overwrite my Keep over and over. Thanks!!

Also, please let me know if my question/concern isn't clear. I couldn't find anyone with this same issue.

I am not sure I understand you correctly.

You can prepare 10 different "World States" and edit any Hero in this World States as you like, also with the same name, race, class, and then export this World State to DAi

It will override the current world state in the game, but that is what it should do.

Hi there, thanks for your response! I'm not sure the attached snip will help illustrate my point, but I'll try my best. It shows my first mage Hawke (Hera). However, this snip is a different world state where I'm picking my heroes for another playthrough. I have another mage Hawke (Mavikan) that I wanted to use for my second playthrough, but there is no option to add another female mage without changing my first mage (Hera). So, my original question is: is that really the case, or am I missing something? Maybe it's unreasonable for the Keep to save my Heroes and choices for every game run, but it just seemed like it would be an option since the game encourages multiple playthroughs.

Sorry if this explanation is still not clear. Visual aid is important lol

You should be able to use "Default Heroes" (Top bar right half) in the Tapestry Hero section and edit it to your liking.
