Cannot Complete Way of the reaver quest

Also having almost this same issue.  For me, the book "Way of the Reaver" was lying at Iron Bull's feet, but reading it did not update my quest.  I have no idea what to do now.

I've completed all the steps but the book is not on the floor in the tavern. 

Any fix for this? I had the exact same bug, I picked up the book, it didn't register for the quest ☹️ 

Has any of you become a reaver on their warriors? I checked all 6-7 stores in val royeaux and none of them sold a book that contains anything about a reaver ☹️ 

This is a huge game breaker for me. I would even use a cheat code to get this stupid thing I just don't know any ☹️

What "Act" are you folks in? I've just gotten to skyhold, but haven't done any further storyline quests. Is it possible that we need to advance in the story to unlock the book?

Me too. It seems like this is a fairly common issue. Hopefully it gets Bioware/EA's attention.

Ok I figured it out. It's a bit of a bug, but you can get past it. If you have the book in your codex and the three primers, go ahead and craft the item you need at the quartermaster. Once it's crafted it will register the book in your inventory and you'll complete the quest. Happy hunting.

I had the same problem with the book close to "The" Iron Bull.

Even tried loading a save to try again, but same results. I'm hoping it'll update properly when the rest of the materials are acquired.
